Are you guys ready? Let’s roll

Todd Beamer was a passenger on the hijacked United Airlines Flight 93 in the September 11, 2001 attacks.

On a phone call from the plane he talked to operator supervisor Lisa Jefferson. He told the operator that some of the plane’s passengers were planning to “jump on” the hijackers.  According to Jefferson, Beamer’s last audible words were “Are you guys ready? Let’s roll.”

While they couldn’t overpower the terrorists, they did prevent the plane from crashing into another building, saving countless lives.
